Book Description

Iphiginia Bright needs a bold plan -- so the schoolteacher decides to pass herself off as the mistress of the supposedly dead Marcus Valerius Cloud, Earl of Masters. It's a brilliant idea. . .until Masters, alive and well, strolls into her life. Masters finds Iphiginia's plan intriguing and soon finds himself assisting her in unmasking a blackmailer.

Though this title falls toward the end of the early Amanda Quick works (before Quick became enamored of her made-up Egyptian culture), it retains the hallmarks of classic Quick titles such as Ravished: humor, intelligent heroines, dark brooding heroes.
