Book Description
Widowed Cate Nightingale runs a B&B in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, because the work allows her to be her own boss, to be with her four-year-old twin boys, and because the town makes her feel safe. Until one day a guest escapes through a window leaving his luggage behind. Two men show up, pull guns on her and demand the luggage left behind. Someone blows up the bridge that is the only way into town. And Cate discovers that her unassuming handyman is an ex-Marine who is very handy when a group of men try to hold the town hostage. The book is really about how the small town comes together when such an unlikely tragedy strikes.
