Squealing, Sabine jumped and spun around. Eyes wide, heart pounding in fright, she looked up into the arrogant face before her. Instead of answering, she hit him on his shoulder. Hard. Still angry, she hit him again. Harder.

“Don’t you ever sneak up on me like that again.” Grasping the handle of her grocery cart, Sabine started down the aisle. She walked fast, pretending to shop.

Roman fell into step beside her. “You’re a werewolf. I shouldn’t be able to sneak up on you. Guess city life has made you soft. Made you human.”

Sabine stopped and turned to glare at him. “City life has not made me soft!” She started pushing her cart again.

“I’d scent you in the middle of a crowded stadium.” Roman walked along beside her.

“Well obviously your scent isn’t that memorable.”

“Then I need to work on that. Surround you in it. Make sure you never forget it.” He ran a finger down her arm. “It’ll be fun.”

She jerked her arm away. His finger had left a trail of fire. “Has it been two weeks yet? I could be wrong, but I think you’re about ten days early.”

“I said I wouldn’t ask you out for two weeks but I didn’t say I wouldn’t speak to you if we happen to run into one another.”

“Oh? And where’s you’re shopping cart? I’m sure it was food that brought you in here.”

Cupping her chin, he turned her face up to meet his gaze. “It was most definitely my appetite that brought me in here. Don’t worry, I’ll satisfy it. Soon.”

Dropping his hand, he walked away. When he reached the end of the aisle he turned to face her. “I’ll satisfy yours too. That’s a promise.”

Sabine Tate is a werewolf in denial. Renouncing her werewolf heritage, she lives outside her pack. Determined not to live by animal instincts, she's not going to consider a werewolf for her mate. There's just one problem, she's met the one werewolf who won't take no for an answer. Roman Silva, pack outcast, has found his mate, the woman nature has decreed as his. The mate that will help him create a new pack. There's only one problem. She doesn't want him. Two stubborn werewolves with one common problem. Neither will accept the other half of their heritage. Roman lives by his animal instincts while Sabine trusts only her human logic. Both are perfect for each other, if they can learn to accept their other half.
