Bantam Books is an US publisher and was established in 1945. The company is now owned by Random House, Inc, and in 1999, Bantam Books and Dell Publishing merged to form The Bantam Dell Publishing Group, the largest division of Random House, Inc.
Once a large paperback and category romance publisher with the imprints Loveswept and Sweet Valley, Bantam now publishes a few select imprints. The list of writers includes the crime novelists Elizabeth George, Iris Johansen, Tami Hoag, Dean Koontz and Louis L'Amour, one of bestselling writers of all time.
