Parker Publishing is a new publisher targeting black and multi-ethnic readers and seeking to earn a reputation with the reading public and in the publishing industry as a house that produces quality books that are fresh, relevant, entertaining, educational and uplifting. Parker Publishing has amassed a stable of over 40 authors (and growing), eight imprints and has twenty-four titles scheduled for its first year. One of the first titles is Vegas Bites: A Werewolf Romance Anthology with L.A. Banks the award-winning novelist of the famed Vampire Huntress Legend series. Also among this impressive list of scribes are: Beverly Jenkins a two-time career achievement award winner from Romantic Times magazine; Angie Daniels winner of the best African American Romance award by the Romantic Times Convention; Niobia Bryant the two-time winner of Shades of Romance Best Multicultural Romance Award; and Adrianne Byrd, Romance in Color’s Reviewer’s Choice Award winner for Author of the Year, Book of the Year and Best BET/Arabesque Book.

Quality, coupled with variety is how Parker plans to get ahead. Their editorial mission is comprised of an array of genres and various imprints. The Sojourns imprint will be the home of non-fiction titles such as Home Girls Make Some Noise!: Hip Hop Feminism Anthology. The Noire imprints consist of romances that are sensually erotic, interracial, fantasy, science fiction and paranormal. The NOLA titles showcase Mysteries, Thrillers, Crime, Detective, and Action–Adventure novels. The Lotus Blossom focuses on the multi-ethnic romances in which the tales range from the traditional to the sizzling. These stories explore love's journey while embracing the diversity of culture. The provocative Zora titles will break down genre barriers to tell a human story and explore universal themes. Our most anticipated speculative fiction imprint, Isis, which includes science fiction and other paranormal themes, has the most titles second to Noire Passion, our erotic romance line. Everyday, the family of writers at Parker Publishing grows in talent, scope and commitment that is sure to impact the publishing industry and cement a bright and exciting future for writers and readers alike.
