Book Description

Ramona was an outcast from the moment she came back. The cold stares and slammed doors of the San Esteban Pueblo were cruel reminders that her Indian blood meant little to the Tewa people. To them, she was her father's daughter, and her father was a traitor.

Michael Wolf, too, knew life on the fringe, ever since his father had died in disgrace. Now, steeped in tribal law and ancient rites, Michael was a modern-day warrior, intent on exposing the truth about his own family.

Together, Michael and Ramona stirred the ashes of a trail long grown cold and the embers of a love that had no right to be.

Bound by duty and chained to their heritage, they fought to regain what was rightfully theirs. But when the desert sand yielded its secret, they were caught in the middle as two cultures fatally collided.
