It was a shock to have him back in her life.
Lucas Tremayne had played an overwhelming role in her teenage past. Now, as the new writer-in-residence at the university where Amber was secretary to the dean, there was no way she could avoid him.
While Amber hoped the past could stay buried, it nevertheless gave her a strange feeling of rejection to find that she no longer held his interest.
Because whatever else she might feel about Luke--anger, resentment, fear of his upsetting her careful little world--her physical response to him was still instantaneous and disturbing!
