Book Description

Laura, an aspiring painter who trains under Titian and becomes a courtesan to finance her art, and Sandro, older and a police officer, meet when a major figure is killed just after visiting Laura's bordello. Their romance plays out against the backdrop of class: he's a nobleman and she's a commoner.
