Biography

After graduating from college (including a stint at Harvard), Susan Wiggs became a math teacher. In 1987, she published Texas Wildflower, the first of what would become a long list of classic romance novels; Wiggs is famous for writing her first drafts in longhand.

She won the 1994 RITA in the Best Romance of 1993 category for her novel Lord Of The Night. She was honored again in 2001 for The Mistress in the Short Historical category. She also won a RITA for Lakeside Cottage. Her novel Summer At Willow Lake was nominated for a 2007 RITA in the Best Contemporary Single Title category.
