Book Description
Captain Neil Macklin, skipper of the cargo vessel Janine, had never been very enthusiastic about having women passengers on his ship, and he was far from pleased to learn that on his next trip - which was going to be quite difficult enough - he would have aboard the rich Miss Audrey Bracewell, travelling alone. And events proved he had been right to be apprehensive. To begin with, his passenger turned out to be not Audrey Bracewell at all, but Nurse Jane Lester, taking Audrey's place to conceal the fact of her elopement. Neil was determined that he was going to keep a very close eye on Jane, and Jane - who had other reasons of her own for her deception - was just as determined that he should not. All in all, there was every ingredient for an eventful voyage.
