Biography
Carrie Lofty was born in California, raised in the Midwest, and found the love of her life in England. She and her husband, Keven, have been married for eleven years, and they have two daughters. After completing her BA in English and history from Bowling Green State University, Carrie earned her MA in history from Ohio State University with a thesis on Old West outlaws and the impact of legend on society.
Her time travel short story "Sundial," set in 1958 Italy, won The Wild Rose Press's "Through the Garden Gate" contest in 2007, and was praised as "inventive" (Dear Author) and "shattering" (Nights & Weekends). The story went on to become a #1 bestseller for The Wild Rose Press.
What a Scoundrel Wants, the hot, swashbuckling tale of Will Scarlet and his dangerous lady love, is a December 2008 release from Kensington Zebra Debut. New York Times bestselling author Susan Wiggs wrote, "Readers will delight in this inventive foray into a legendary place."
The Castilian-set sequel, Scoundrel's Kiss, featuring a slave-turned-warrior monk and an opium addict, will follow in 2009.
