Julie Garwood won the 1990 RITA® in the Historical Single Title Category. She found her way to writing after taking a required history course with an instructor who made dry events come alive. After writing a long string of historical romances (all with a humorous slant), Julie Garwood turned, as did many romance authors in the late 1990's to writing contemporary suspense with romantic elements.
Her book For The Roses was turned into a television movie called Rose Hill, starring Jennifer Garner.
