William of Normandy, had conquered England's Saxon king. An now Lady Elfrida was told the lands of her father were forfeit to William. Forced to wed her captor, the Marquis de Ros, after a painful and tumultuous period she leaves behind their son and flees to the Convent of the Sacred Heart.
