Linnea Bradenborg moves to North Dakota with hopes of finding some excitement. Instead, the town's new schoolteacher finds herself in the middle of nowhere, her train met by Theodore Westgaard, who is disappointed to learn that after a string of male teachers, the town has hired a woman -- a woman who, by town tradition, will reside in his home.
