Biography
Sandra Brown started her career writing category romance before moving into romantic and straight suspense. Her early categories are considered classics and highly collectible. Her novel Tomorrow's Promise was the first book released under the Harlequin American Romance imprint. She was also the first author published by the Loveswept imprint with her novel Heaven's Price.
Her first novel was published in 1981, and her book French Silk was made into a television movie for ABC. She has been honored with many awards including the Romance Writers of America Lifetime Achievement Award. She has also written under the names Laura Jordan, Rachel Ryan, and Erin St. Claire.
As an author for Harlequin American Romance, she published one title. While writing for Loveswept, Sandra Brown published seventeen romances.
She also contributed to the Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance collection.
