Gina Wilkins finds creating happily-ever-after romances an easy task - she simply uses her own life as an inspiration! Raised with a romantic heritage as well as gift for storytelling she credits her successful career in romance to her long, happy marriage.

Starting to write romances because she believes in happy ending she sold her first category romance (Hero In Disguise) in 1987 to Harlequin - it was published as a Harlequin Temptation - and has been writing full-time since. She wrote for the Silhouette Special Edition imprint under the name Gina Ferris since 1988 and later as Gina Ferris Wilkins, but starting with The Father Next Door of 1997 she writes as Gina Wilkins in that line. Her first contemporary romance was published as a Pageant Romance in 1988 and since 2000 she writes for Harlequin and the Harlequin Signature Select imprint.

A lifelong resident of central Arkansas she has chosen to set many of her books in the South, where she finds a rich treasury of characters and settings. She particularly loves the Ozark mountain region of northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. When she isn't shopping, she enjoys reading, travelling, and attending plays and concerts. She collects porcelain brides an music boxes and loves music of allmost all kinds.
