Biography

Publishing phenomenon Debbie Macomber has written books that have landed her on the New York Times bestseller list. Overcoming dyslexia and the demands of motherhood, she has emerged as a favorite romance author. Recently, she has branched out to the more expansive arena of women's fiction. Her book This Matter Of Marriage was made into a movie for Lifetime.

In addition to numerous other awards, she is the recipient of a RITA award in the Traditional category for her novel The Christmas Basket, a Quill Award, and has been recognized as the 1996-97 Woman of Distinction Award by Soroptimist International of Port Orchard, Washington for her charitable work. Debbie Macomber was a 2009 RITA® finalist in the RITA®: Best Contemporary Single Title category with her novel Twenty Wishes.

As an author for Harlequin American Romance, Debbie Macomber published one title. Writing for the Harlequin Romance imprint, she has published 24 novels. She wrote 23 titles for the Silhouette Romance line.
