More?

It is always fun to see what other people are working on to get inspired. Are you planning on adding other "institutional" series? I can think of quite a few off the top of my head, but if you are in the middle of this, I will hold off. --Kay T 15:54, 29 December 2006 (PST)

further discussion

Were you thinking that there had to be an actual institution involved in the current stories? I was thinking of Jo Goodman's series about the four men who were at school together (the Compass Club), Jo Beverley's series that revolves around men who went to school together (the other of hers is a family series). I think even Madeline Hunter got into the series with a men's "club." There are also those series that involve men working as spies. And Stephanie Laurens did a family series.--Kay T 17:53, 29 December 2006 (PST)
I was thinking of series built around a particular business (there's one series having to do with a security firm, I just can't think of the name of it for the life of me, although each of the novels had to do with a specific precious stone -- black pearls, for example), but I think that most of the series that fall into this category will have to do with schools and clubs, as you've suggested.Sara Donati
There are the old Elizabeth Lowell ones (Diamonds, Ruby, Silk) that was set in a security firm. Her current ones are also set in a security firm (same one? not sure). The current ones by Lisa Janzen are a security firm in Denver (Crazy --). Okay. I am going to copy this discussion to the series page so we don't forget. --Kay T 18:07, 29 December 2006 (PST)
