Beverly Jenkins (b. 1951) is a best-selling author of contemporary and historical romances featuring African-American and multicultural characters. Her use of 19th-century African-American history is unusual in the romance genre.

Jenkins has received numerous awards, including five Waldenbooks Best Seller Awards, two Career Achievement Awards from Romantic Times magazine, and a Gold Pen Award from the Black Writers Alliance. In 1999, she was voted one of the Favorite 50 African-American Authors of the 20th Century by AALBC.com, the nation's largest online African-American book club. She is also a 2013 NAACP Image Award nominee. Her fan club is known for its Beverly Jenkins Pajama Party Weekend.

Jenkins has written over a dozen romances and two young adult historical novels for Avon. She has also written several romantic suspense novels for Harper Torch. She lives in Michigan, where she is active as a community volunteer and a lay minister in the Episcopal Church.
