Emily McKay is a Rita nominee and a Romantic Times Life Time Achievement nominee. She's written for Harlequin Temptation, Mills & Boon and Silhouette Desire. Her books have been translated into thirteen languages and there are over half a million copies of her books in print. She's such a total geek about writing that she'll talk about books with just about anytime anyone stands still long enough to listen. She's loved reading romance ever since her mother gave her a Harlequin Romance that she'd got free in a box of Hefty Trash Bags. She also loves reading YA, fantasy and mystery. No Ophra books here! Emily's books have been described as "complex and surprising" by Romantic Times and "lighter than air" by All About Romance. Her next books is a July Harlequin Desire release, The Tycoon's Temporary Baby. She also co-writes young adult as Ivy Adams. The International Kissing Club will be out in January 2012.

As an author for Harlequin Temptation, Emily McKay published three novels. She is also known as Emily McKaskle. She earned a degree in English from Texas A&M University. She worked as a middle school teacher after graduation before turning to writing full-time. In 2001, she was a Golden Heart finalist for her manuscript Love Letters To Tabitha which was published by Harlequin Temptation in 2003 as Baby, Be Mine. This book was a 2004 RITA finalist in the Best First Book and Best Short Contemporary Romance categories.
