William "Crash" Hawken is a SEAL, but he is on the run and accused of murdering Admiral Jake Robinson who had been like a second father to him. Crash has obviously been set up, and he goes to the only person he can trust - Nell Burns. Crash had been introduced to Nell earlier by Crash's cousin Daisy and Jake when Daisy was dying of cancer. After Daisy's death, Crash left, believing that he and Nell did not have a future. Crash and Nell go on the run while they try to find out who really killed the Admiral.
