Samantha Monroe is a single mother of three whose artist husband suddenly realized he was gay, then disappeared without paying any child support or keeping in touch with the kids. She is barely making ends meet as a hairstylist when her friend, Kara, a powerhouse political operative, has the idea of Samantha posing as fiance of Jack Tolliver (of the Tolliver political dynasty). Jack needs to make voters forget his playboy image in order to win his campaign as Indiana’s newest senator.
