William "Crash" Hawken is a SEAL, but he is on the run and accused of murdering Admiral Jake Robinson who had been like a second father to him. Crash has obviously been set up, and he goes to the only person he can trust - Nell Burns. Crash had been introduced to Nell earlier by Crash's cousin Daisy and Jake when Daisy was dying of cancer.
