A time of terror, a time of death!! Atrocities were committed that made one's blood run cold. Men, women and children were massacred because they had been born into the aristocracy. 'Thus France was a death trap for the beautiful Catherine and her grandmother, the Comtesse de Saulnay. Still, tucked away in their lavish chateau on the coast, they felt a measure of safety.
