Each moment spent with him spelled danger... Catherine was stunned. Patrick had just refused to deny her worst suspicions about him. She was a fool to have believed he was an auto dealer -- the man was a thief! "Give me some time, Catherine," he begged. "I can explain --" A gunshot, echoing across the park, suddenly cut off his words. "Get down," Patrick ordered, pulling her to the ground. Sickened, Catherine watched him draw a gun from his pocket. The man she loved wasn't simply a thief -- he was armed and ready to kill!
