Had she walked into a nightmare of crime? Kay wasn't used to sleuthing, but she had to find Dr. Justin Beauvoir somewhere in the south of France. He had written her a letter breaking off their engagement, no reasons given. Her trek led her to SunMed Clinic on the Mediterranean, a mysterious place where tubercular patients went to convalesce. But underneath the day-to-day routine she discovered some very odd--and frightening--goings-on. And Dr. Justin Beauvoir was in the thick of them--walking a tightrope between life and death!
