"He's absolutely mad and he's robbing us blind!" Nadine didn't understand Lorrainds ominous warning about Alain, the man she loved. She couldn't believe Alain was insane--or that he was a thief. Was Lorraine lying for some reason of her own? And Alain's cousin Robert seemed so kind and gentle even when he warned her against Alain. Was he trying to help ... or was he lying, too? Only Alain had the answers to her questions. Only he could convince her that he truly loved her, and that he wasn't a madman. Or a criminal. But Alain had disappeared!
