A young woman wakes up in a hospital after being struck by a car to find that she has lost her memory -- and with it, her identity. When the police recover her handbag, it is empty except for three keys. Finally she is identified as Sandra Larrabee, widow, mother of twins girls, and heiress to a vast fortune. But nothing at the Larrabee mansion stirs her lost memory, not even her daughters. The keys fit no doors there, and the masculine face that appears in her dreams is not that of her late husband. Troubled by these discrepancies, Sandra searches desperately for something that will awaken her memory and give her back her past. And she can't know that every step of her search is leading her further into a dangerous maze at whose heart a killer waits...
