Princess Isabelle is thrown out of the castle by her sister, forcing Isabelle to make her own way in the world after a lifetime of luxury. Daniel Bronson becomes Isabelle's lover, and Isabelle's subsequent pregnancy threatens her sister's hold on the throne. This is less romance and more mainstream in the Judith Krantz style.
