Peta Donald should never have returned home. Northwind Island didn't want 'that troublemaker' back again, and when Peta discovered her ex-boyfriend dead, the islanders branded her a murderer. All except Lawson Mills, a man whose very presence on the island is a mystery. Lawson has his own murders to solve, but finds he can't abandon Peta to the mercy of the people around him.
