Like the Romantic Series (see also the category Category:Romantic Series), stories with Continuing Characters have elements that are familiar to readers. The difference between a series and books featuring continuing characters is that the latter may not have an overall story arc -- often in the romance genre, each book stands alone with only guest appearances by characters from another book tying each book together.
