Taking care of business was Eve Whitfield's creed. So when her mother's lover skipped town, Eve hired a private investigator to find him. The condition: Eve would be along for the chase.

Gabriel Bouvier had come highly recommended, although Eve couldn't immediately see why. True, he was impressive to look at, yet the only quarry he seemed to want to chase was her. Despite her misgivings, he turned out to be a hotshot investigator. He certainly led Eve to all sorts of astounding discoveries about herself...and what was supposed to be a simple case.
