Biography
Daphne Clair (Daphne Clair De Jong) began her publishing career in the late 1970s, and writes romantic and literary fiction. She brings a feminist bent to her work and contributed an essay to the anthology Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women: Romance Writers on the Appeal of the Romance, edited by Jayne Ann Krentz, where she focused on the historical nature of the romance novel as a way of expressing issues related to women on a social level.
Daphne Clair is the author of over sixty novels. She has written 23 books for the Harlequin Presents imprint. She also publishes under the name Laurey Bright.
