The Orange County Chapter of the Romance Writers of America was founded in 1981. Together with RWA Charter Member/co-founder Rita Clay Estrada, the OCCRWA charter members went on to create an organization that boasts approximately 250 members who have published at least 4,000 books among them.
Among the many activities and services provided by the chapter, the groups sponsors two annual contests: the Orange Rose for unpublished authors and the Book Buyer’s Best Award for published authors.
The chapter meets on the second Saturday of every month in Brea, California.
