Love Revealed by J.R. Ward

About the Book

Ex-cop Butch O'Neal is the only human member of the tattooed, tormented group of vampire "brothers" sworn to protect other vampires from the soulless human "lessers". Aristocratic vampire Marissa sees more than an ordinary human in Butch -- as does the evil Omega Lessening Society.

Notes: Marissa is a virgin despite spending 100 years as the vampire equivalent of a concubine. She is also seen by some readers as wimpy and passive.

Book 4 in the "Black Dagger Brotherhood". The series is more enjoyable (and makes more sense) if read in order.
