It was temporary insanity! Nothing else could have prompted Nikki Damon to walk up to a perfect stranger, and he was perfect, outside a French cafe and kiss him.

It was that darned list, of everything she'd dreamed of doing on her Paris stopover, and her silly romantic fantasy of running into the arms of handsome Frenchman and being whirled around and kissed with all of Paris looking on.

Temporary insanity! Nikki thought as she left the man standing rooted to the pavement looking thunderstruck. That's what she'd plead if he ever came after her.
