In the beginning…

I have a lot of books that are ‘a beginning’. A genesis of sorts waiting to be written, novels waiting to know their end. This collection is, therefore, a collection of beginnings.

Within these pages you will find the beginnings of many novels – most I started and then stopped to move on to more pressing projects. I’m not entirely sure they will ever be finished, but they are fun reads, with some dynamic characters, and it’s a shame to just let them sit without having never been read. Consider these short blurbs an ‘appetizer’ to the main event, because I certainly reserve the right to finish any one of these at any point in time. But for now, I’m not sure if I ever will, so I hope you enjoy these ‘beginnings’, some with your favorite characters and some with brand new characters.

Each story will be prefaced with author’s notes so you can gain a little insight into my thought processes and perhaps why I have not yet finished the story. Each one has its own unique background. Some stories will be two chapters while others will be up to four or five chapters. They have been somewhat edited for typos and content but since they’re not complete novels, they haven’t had the heavy-duty editorial process yet.

For fun, there will be a poll on my website asking for votes on which novel you, as the reader, think I should finish. I’m already booked up out through 2015, but who knows? Maybe I’ll be able to finish one of these sooner. I’ve already got some great starts!
