All About Romance

All About Romance (AAR) is a website created in 1997 by Laurie Gold aka Laurie Likes Books. Before then AAR was called The Archives of Laurie Likes Books, and housed columns, Special Title Listings, Desert Isle Keeper Reviews, and interviews conducted by LLB (primarily) for The Romance Reader between 1996 and 1997. The mission of AAR is to provide a relaxed community for readers of romance novels with commentary, reviews by a staff of volunteer reviewers, and interviews, plus places for the readers and writers to discuss romance. As of 2007 there were over 6,000 reviews.

Awards

The site conducts an annual reader poll where readers vote on their favorite books in various categories. The books must have been issued in the contest year, e.g., in 2006 for the poll conducted in the spring of 2007. Results of the polls since 1997 can be found at AAR's Annual Reader Polls [1].
