In 1999, a group of dedicated readers got together to organize the first Celebrate Romance event. The weekend-long conference focused on bringing readers and their favorite authors together. Since then, the annual event has grown in scale. The conference has featured a wide range of authors including Jo Beverley and Susan Elizabeth Phillips.

- 2009 - is scheduled to be held in Portland Oregon, from Friday February 27th to Sunday March 1st.
- 2008 - February 29 through March 2 in Columbia, South Carolina.
