Current Publishing Status

In the spring of 2008 Simpson signed a multi-book deal with Sourcebooks/Casablanca, a Chicago-area publisher of non-fiction and romance fiction for a series of historical romance/mysteries known as the Lady Anne books.

Books 2 and 3 of the Lady Anne series were never published by Sourcebooks Casablanca.

In 2010 Simpson was one of the debut authors with Carina Press, the eBook only imprint of Harlequin publishing. Love & Scandal, about a young Victorian woman's secret life as a writer of a scandalous novel. Love & Scandal was published in June of 2010, along with a companion piece, a free eBook download, The Last Days of a Rake, a 'book within a book' that was a primary subject within Love & Scandal.

In the Autumn of 2011, Simpson announced that she had signed a contract with Beyond the Page Publishing, and that books 2 and 3 of the Lady Anne series would be published in early 2012.

The books have been retitled, as the series is being repackaged to better delineate the sub-genre in which the books belong.

Biography

Donna Lea Simpson is also known as Donna Simpson, and wrote Regency romances under that name. The name change coincided with Simpson's move to Paranormal romances in 2006.

National bestselling novelist Donna Lea Simpson has written and published 28 novels and novellas for Kensington/Zebra, Blackfriars Publications and Berkley, a division of Penguin/Putnam.

She has written traditional Regency romances, as well as time-travel, contemporary and historical paranormal romance novels.
