Sharron McClellan
Sharron McClellan was born on December 19, 1963 in Zaragoza, Spain. The oldest daughter of five children, she has two younger sisters, an older brother and a younger brother. As an avid reader at a young age, Sharron planned to be a writer from high school onward. Taking time off after graduation, she settled on the University of Alaska-Fairbanks as her choice of college.
Unfortunately, when she entered college, she says that her creative writing class “sucked the love of writing out of me” and she ended up with a degree in Anthropology—specializing in physical anthropology. After graduation, Sharron traveled the US, working as a contract archaeologist for a number of years, and then finally settled down in Seattle where she once again, took up writing. In 2001 she sold her first novel The Given to the small press, ImaJinn Books. In 2004, she sold The Midas Trap to NY Harlequin/Silhouette’s Bombshell line.
