Born in Lubbock, Texas, Tori Scott takes great pride in being a third generation Texan. Her grandparents arrived in Texas by wagon in the late 1800's and settled in the area that is now Lynn County. Her grandmother was a voracious reader who also wrote articles for the Lynn County newspaper. The writing gene skipped a generation, but Tori picked up where her grandmother left off, though she channeled her creative energies into fiction. Before she started writing, she spent a few years getting her college degree, raising four children, and working as a high school teacher and a private school principal.

Tori was a Golden Heart Finalist in 2003 and won or finaled in numerous contest between 2003 and 2007. She sold her first novel, Double Exposure, to Red Sage Publishing in 2007 and it was released in 2008.

Wanting more accountability and control over her career, Tori decided to self-publish in 2011. Since that time, she has released thirteen novels and novellas, including The Satisfaction Series which spend 13 weeks at number one on the Amazon best seller list for Anthologies and the Lone Star Cowboys series which consistently stays on the bestseller list for Western Romance.

In 2012, she was a finalist in the International Digital Awards and a semi-finalist in the Best Indie Books of 2012. She received a Romantic Times Top Pick in June 2012 for Superstition.

At this time, she's a first round finalist in the Amazon Breakthrough Novel contest with Blame it on Texas.

Her newest release is The Bluest Eyes in Texas, Book 3 in the Lone Star Cowboys series.
