Charlene Raddon was born in Colorado and grew up south of Los Angeles where she worked as a stenographer and attended El Camino Jr. College as an art major. In 1971 she moved to Utah where she now lives with her husband and a very demanding, scardy-cat cat. She and her husband love to camp, hunt and fish, and she has become knowledgeable on the flora and fauna of the Western United States, as well as the history. In 1980 her love of the Wild West drove her to begin writing fiction. Her first romance novel, Tender Touch, won first place as an historical in the Colorado Gold Writing Contest in 1990 and became a Golden Heart Finalist in 1991. About eighteen months later, she signed a three-book contract with Kensington Books. Four books were published under her name and a fifth under a pseudonym. Her third novel, Forever Mine, received a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award Nomination. When not writing, Charlene loves to travel, garden, create digital scrapbooks, research genealogy and dye Ukrainian style eggs. She has been a member of the Romance Writers of America for twenty years and a member of the Wasatch Mountain Fiction Writers for twenty-five years, serving multiple terms as president of that latter group. Her most recent book won first place in the 2010 Romance Through the Ages Contest. Currently she is working on a new book.
