Francis Ray is a native Texan and lives in Dallas.  Ms. Ray's titles consistently make bestseller's lists such as Blackboard and Essence Magazine. INCOGNITO, her sixth title, was the first made-for-TV movie for BET. She has written forty-nine titles to date. Awards include Romantic Times Career Achievement, EMMA, The Golden Pen, The Atlantic Choice, Borders 2008 Bestselling Multicultural Romance Award and Written Magazine Book of the Year 2010.

Ms. Ray had six novels published or re-released in 2012, and four scheduled thus far for 2013. She enjoys writing fiction, where intelligent women through hard work and perseverance triumph over adversity, just as they do in real life.

Francis Ray passed away on July 3, 2013. She was born July 20, 1944.
