Love can destroy a man's heart! Francisco s statement was a paradox to Lucile. She had not known the power of love until he taught her. More than anything else in the world she wanted to see him again--wanted to be near him and try to cure his deep-seated bitterness. Francisco, however, sternly rejected her. "Just remember our day together," he'd said. "Always remember that--but you must forget about me." With hope still burning in her heart she acted on impulse, but how could she have known her act would bring to light an astonishing conspiracy? An ugly conspiracy!
