Wynn Wagner (b1951) is an American novelist. He has written or edited 19 books. Among the novels he has authored, 7 are romance novels.

Wagner has an affinity for the 1st person narrative mode. Of his seven works of fiction, only one is written in the 3rd person.

Dr. Wagner is the coadjutor emeritus of the North American Old Catholic Church (NAOCC). In that position, he became an ordained priest and then a consecrated archbishop. When asked about an archbishop writing favorably about gay men, he said "It's a niche."

Since his retirement from active work as an archbishop, Dr. Wagner has concentrated on romance novels. The stories are usually adult in nature, but they always have some sort of moral awakening. They always have a happy ending (or happy-for-now ending).

Four of the books are part of a trilogy. Yes, it is a trilogy with four books. This is the 'Vamp Camp series, consisting of Vamp Camp, The Obscurati, The Vamp in the Silver Mask, and Fangs over America. All are published by Dreamspinner Press. It really had been planned as a trilogy, but the author found himself hospitalized for five months in 2010. The scope of the fourth installment -- Fangs over America -- came into being while he was in the hospital.

While Wagner was hospitalized for 5 months in 2010, the plot of Fangs came to be. This was the first book he wrote following his lengthy hospitalization. It is jokingly called "part four of the trilogy." Although it is a sequel that builds on characters and plot devices from the first three books, Fangs can be a stand-alone book. (2012)
