In addition to books by James Hadley Chase and Jean Plaidy, Harlequin published work by Wallace Stegner in 1952. Esoteric fiction continued to be popular with readers. Non-fiction titles were included in the mix, and many of the books Good Girl Art, a distinct cover art style, was often featured.
