She is the author of over 100 novels and has written for various publishing houses. Her first book was sold in 1979, and since then, she has been the recipient of many industry awards. Proving that education is a lifelong experience, Kyle/Palmer returned to college at the age of 45, graduating with a major in history and a double minor in archaeology and Spanish.

Diana Palmer is a pen name of Susan Spaeth Kyle. Her first book as Diana Palmer, Bound By A Promise, was was published in 1979 in the MacFadden Romance line. Since then she has written over 100 novels - mostly category romances for Silhouette, but also historicals for Ivy and contemporary romances for Mira and HQN - and has been the recipient of many industry awards.

Her novel Diamond Girl was turned into a television movie in 1998.
