From its introduction in 1982 until 1989, the RITA® was known as The Golden Medallion. After a few years of relatively stable categories, 1989 saw a return to fiddling with Golden Medallion Categories. Single Title Release was mercifully shortened to Single Title and Suspense was added as a new category.
