K.P. Wee

Biography

K.P. Wee (b. 1977) is an author for McFarland & Company, Riverdale Avenue Books, and Rowman & Littlefield.

He is also a former author for Cacoethes Publishing House and Bucks County Publishing. With Cacoethes, he published three psychological fiction/romance titles in 2008; these three novellas were later introduced as an anthology titled "Showing Their Scales: Three Tales of Lies, Lust, and Deception."

He also self-published a book about former baseball pitcher Tom Candiotti, titled "No Runs, No Wins, No Glory: A Look Back at Tom Candiotti's Frustrating 1993 Season."

In 2009, Wee wrote "The Homecoming Pitcher", a novel about an aspiring baseball player from Fort McMurray, Alberta. In the same year, he published "Return of the Retired Tutor," which like "Showing Their Scales," is a psychological fiction/romance piece.

In 2011, he wrote "Fess Up, Jessup!" which was published by Bucks County Publishing.

Although Wee started out writing fiction (with a touch of romance), he has since been working on sports-related titles (since 2014). His biography on Candiotti, titled "Tom Candiotti: A Life of Knuckleballs," was released by McFarland & Company in June of 2014.

The following year, he published "The End of the Montreal Jinx: Boston's Short-Lived Glory in the Historic Bruins-Canadiens Rivalry, 1988-1994."

His 30-year look-back on the 1988 World Series-winning Los Angeles Dodgers, "The 1988 Dodgers: Reliving the Championship Season," was released in August 2018 by Rowman & Littlefield.

In 2019, he published a biography about John Cangelosi, a former Major League Baseball outfielder, with Riverdale Avenue Books.

Fittingly, since he is an English instructor, he has published at least two reference books for ESL learners. In 2015, Wee wrote "150 Common Written & Spoken Errors Made by ESL Learners (with Suggested Corrections & Explanations): A Self-Study Guide for Students." He followed that up with "100 Additional Common Written & Spoken Errors Made by ESL Learners: A Self-Study Guide for Students" in 2016.

Wee is Asian-Canadian and lives in British Columbia. An English instructor since 2003, Wee did play-by-play for several games on the Internet for the local Vancouver Canadians baseball club between 2011 and 2012. In the fall of 2012, he joined midgetAAACanada.com to become a correspondent for the BC Midget Major League, a role he held until 2017. He made regular appearances as an in-studio guest on "Vancouver Canadians Game Day" on TSN1040, a Vancouver-based sports radio station, in 2018.
